Our journey of supporting families

History

Rosewood Funerals was originally known as Rosewood Funeral Home (2014 to 2024) and prior to was known as David Dew Funeral Services, which was started by David and Lynette Dew in 1996. In 2003 the neighbouring properties to Rosewood were purchased, and the Rosewood Venue and reception lounge was constructed.

Rosewood was initially brought as a character villa, which was transformed into an office premises. With some alterations along the way, including a recently refurbished new Mortuary, it has allowed Rosewood to provide a warm welcoming, professional space for families and their loved ones.

Heartfelt reflections from those we've supported

“Your attitude, willingness to accommodate and expertise made the whole process interesting and satisfying rather than bewildering and unpleasant. I’m sure that funeral directors are trained well in terms of organisation and human behaviour but you are exceptional. It was fun at times” - thank you Maz

Heartfelt reflections from those we've supported

When our family was faced with the sudden loss of our loved one, the care and guidance we received from Maz, Anna and the team at Rosewood Funerals was truly exceptional during the most painful time of our lives.
They listened to our needs and made a difficult time feel a little more bearable. Their attention to detail and genuine empathy eased the load we had to bear. Every facet of the service was handled with grace, love, and respect, creating a beautiful space for family and friends to grieve, remember, and celebrate a life gone too soon. We are forever grateful for the kindness and support they provided during such a deeply emotional time.
